In the second game of the day in the Powell Park Sunday Flag Football League, Joan Carrow of the Powell Park Playaz, made a critical interception to win the game for the Playaz. The Playaz bested team Kelley Day's 5 Alarm Gravy in a 14-12 duel. Nice work Joan.
In a game that was down to the wire, it was one catch by Lisa Rose that made the difference. It was her first catch of the year. With her team down near the goalline, Lisa worked her way to the front left corner of the end zone. Her QB locked in on her and threw a perfect pass that hit her right in her hands for what would turn out to be the winning TD.
