Neon. Blue eyeshadow. Short shorts and knee high socks. It could only be one thing...80s night Big Turkey Bowling Playoffs! Semi-finals pitted Pin Envy and Bowling with Beergoogles against each other and HiBallers versus Ball Busters. A fantastic time was had by members of both Pin Envy and Bowling with Beergoogles. Not one, but TWO turkeys by Brennan and Ty from Pin Envy earned them a win and a spot in the final game. After a quick round of calisthenics on the lanes, Pin Envy was ready to take on HiBallers while Bowling with Beergoogles and Ball Busters played a convivial game for third place bragging rights. Maybe it was the tube socks or the sweatbands. Or the cardio that kept Pin Envy's balls rolling strikes as Brennan earned ANOTHER turkey in the second game and Lisa's awesome strike in the tenth frame. Whatever it was, Pin Envy went on to claim the Tuesday Night Big Turkey Bowling Championship AND Spirit Champs! Well earned, Pin Envy! Your attention to detail and choose your own themes and willingness to do mostly anything certainly helped make you double champs!
It started out an even race for No Tap, with Obviously Golfers taking the first NT coupon. Then Weiner Skanks threw their shirt in the ring (or Gabe's shirt) and grabbed a NT coupon. Pretty soon it was a tie, until Gutter Punks starting throwing nines like it was their job. Gutter Punks pulled out an impressive No Tap run, earning them the title of Tuesday Night No Tap Champions. Rock on Gutter Punks!
Let's get physical! Physical! Brennan got physical all right, physically earning mad turkeys for his team! Sporting the hot pink shorts and a bumpin' head band, he was a regular Richard Simmons out on the lanes. He lead his team thru warm ups (including some shoulder circles and stretches) which clearly helped Pin Envy to victory. Sweatin' to the oldies never looked so good! Keep livin' the good life Brennan and rolling those strikes!
Oh Lisa, you salty dog! I can already tell this is going to be a good season! Lisa worked her southern charm on the lane and helped her team to victory (at least in Game 1!) all the while extolling the virtues of a tasty Salty Dog...something that none of these Oregon natives are familiar with. I was with ya on that one and for sharing that bond (and mad spill notification skills), you get player of the week!
