Spring Softcore Co-ed Volleyball Wednesdays at Beverly Cleary - Fernwo

There were nothing but intense rallies and quick feet leading up to the finals tonight at Fernwood. All four teams played their hearts (and legs) out to make it into the final match. Shaggin' Balls and So You Think You Can Spike made it to the last round and brought everything they had to the game.
The first game went to Shaggin' Balls thanks to Allison's crushing serves, incredible saves and Tracey's determined focus on the game at hand. The first game was close but the SBs pulled out ahead and won it 25-22.
The second game was a firestorm of kills and remarkable rallies. Jeff and Robert were matched evenly at the net and each were taking some monster swings and making powerhouse blocks. Merme came with her serve and dominated while Carrie's pacing and setting were spot on! Cindy also brought her A-game as she snapped that wrist and made some sweet kills. SYTYCS took the second game thanks to D'Arcy and his punctuality and nice saves.
The third and final game came down to a couple points and Lindsey kept her team swinging with her accurate sets. Sean also stole the limelight as he found his groove on the outside kills (he also kept that gym floor gleaming!). While on the other side of the net, Stout kept swinging on the seam and Anna was digging up quite a few of those hard driven balls! But at the end Jeff killed it at the net and one last crushing serve was unanswered giving Shaggin' Balls the game-point and the title of League Champions!!! Congrats to all our teams and a big hip-hooray to Shaggin' Balls!
