Game 1 of the playoffs started of innocent enough...lots of cheering from all four teams, everyone had their heads in the game and every pin counts. It was cordial enough. And then things got Philthy as Dirty Sanchez wiped off their upper lip and bowled off against Split Happens for Game 2 and Thursday night bragging rights. Una-Bowlers and Cobra Strike were bowling it out for 3rd place, and Will started Una-Bowlers off by rolling an X in the first frame. Autumn of Dirty Sanchez was ROCKING the lanes in Game 2, earning her the team MVP title. It was neck and neck in every frame. Phil aka Philthy had not one but TWO turkeys, edging Dirty Sanchez into the lead and taking home the title of THURSDAY NIGHT BTB CHAMPIONS!
Not to be outdone, a little No Tap action was happening on the side between NInja and Guys, Dolls and Gutterballs. It wasn't all about gutterballs (although their were a few); scores were high and No Taps were thrown. Throat Rot of Ninja choked on his high score and Guys, Dolls and Gutterballs took over as No Tap Champs.
Taking 2nd place in bowling but 1st place in spirit, was Split Happens (by a large margin, I might add!). Their spirit might superseded their bowling skills and they were handsomely rewarded. All others take note, Split Happens is the way to do it!
Way to go everyone! Way to make Thursday's this summer a little more rockin'!
Philthy! Phil's amazing ability to roll some Xs helped his team to victory this week. He rolled not only one but TWO turkeys and won the championship game! Definitely saving the big guns for when it counts. Way to go Phil!
Ohhh girl! Bust out your cans o' PBR and the cheez doodles, Delaney is takin' out the trash! POTW goes to Delaney for creating her own theme, along with some of her team mates, of trailer park princess. While she didn't rock the wolf shirt (next week perhaps?), she was rocking blue eyeshadow and wonderfully done (backwards) home-made tattoos. Way to klass up the lanes, Delaney! Congrats!
