Starting off mellow for the first game, the players of all four top ranked teams kept their bowling mojo for the second game of playoffs. It Curves to the Left rolled away with a victory over Balls Deep, thanks in part to the phenomenal skills of Richard and Candice. Not to be outdone in the next lane over, Ryan of Drinkers With a Bowling Problem was integral to their triumph over Living on a Spare (despite Andrew's hypnotic dancing). The place started to get rowdy during the championship game. It Curves to the Left was on FIRE (or, just Richard's shoes), outbowling Drinker's With a Bowling Problem (who just became Drinkers at this point). An impromptu league chorus of Don't Stop Believing was the soundtrack to an epic win for It Curves, making them Wednesday Night Bowling Champs!
Not to be outdone, the spirit and livelihood of the bombtastic match up between Living on a Spare and Balls Deep was so harmonious in the second game, they TIED for third place! Now dubbed Balls Deep Lives on a Spare for the record books, both teams amicably agreed they wanted to share the title of second best.
Drinkers With a Bowling Problem didn't walk away empty-handed though. They were crowned Spirit Champs, a well deserved title for all their spirit and fake mustaches and team themes throughout the season.
At the other end of the league, Sgt. Sasquatch and the Bowling Brigade was slowly mounting a tactical victory to gain the No Tap Championship title. They were successful in their mission! Congrats to all winners!
Jenny, Jenny, Jenny! It was a tight game but your bowling prowess and MVP moves make you player of the game this week! Your undeniable Underdog spirit and sweet bowling skills were at an all time high this week. It did not go unnoticed! Way to go out with a bang. Congrats!
Holy cow. Most impressive run of turkey's I've ever seen! POTW goes to Richard 'Frisbee' Kaupp of It Curves to the Left. No curving in his game--just straight down the lane for an impressive run of turkeys and an impressive overall score. He says he's never bowled in a league before but his fancy fire bowling shoes tells a different story. Way to go Richard!
