Rick Nelsen

Sand Angels - Indy #V39

This week’s Player of the Week goes out to Rick Shake it Off Nelsen! Rick started out the night strong by taking a killer dive over on court 3 to the detriment of his left big toe. Never mind that, he kept on playing! Running hard after shanks and spiking it like it’s hot. In round two is when this story gets a little more Taylor Swift. Rick went for another close pancake dive to the detriment of his shorts! Did that stop Rick? No way! He used that wardrobe malfunction to distract the other team, shaking it off like it ain’t no thang. His team had a double header, so he managed to find a new pair for the second round.
Congratulations Rick on being out Player of the Week!

Ellina Gurevich

Indy #V39

This week's Player of the Week is going out to Ellina of the newly minted Indy #V39. It was a head to head Indy battle on this opening night, and there were smiles and epic plays to match the event. Ellina was a secret weapon on this Indy team who seemed to dive and stretch for saves, not unlike, her possibly distant relative, Stretch Armstrong. Just as the ball was about to hit the sand, BAM!, Ellina was there, the epic distance diver, that could make a save to keep the ball alive for one more play. Way to go Ellina!
