Al played with courtesy and “good will” toward her opponents, but also with a “will to win.” With her team up by two and two outs in the bottom of the 7th, Al steadied her eyes on a pop foul ball as she dove for the catch. When the dust had settled it was clear Al had made the game winning catch.
