Tonight was a rarity in our league. We saw a championship game played by Indy team vs Indy team! Congratulations to Block Party and Double Deuces! This was a fun match to watch. Both teams were so excited to be in the finals that they couldn't contain it. These teams have interacted back and forth quite a bit in the past, but tonight they were bonded. Each team fought hard for the title but there can only be one champion. Congratulations to both teams are a well played battle!
This week's Player of the Week goes to Mle Gross from the Block Party team! Mle (pronounced phenetically as "Emily") was all smiles Tuesday night out at the Beaverton Courts. Good plays, questionable plays, it doesn't matter she's smiling. She brings that consistent positive energy to her team and cheers them on throughout the match.
Mle is an awesome setter! She was all over the court setting up her teammates for some great kills. Even having to drop down to her knees Mle gets the set every time!
