The Drunken Pirates are a family. Both literally and figuratively. There are couples and kids, and all attend the games. As a team, they work together like a family should. Each player has their role, and when one gets down, the others lift him/her up. They are a tight knit group that play amazing defense, and collectively hit line drives and score runs. No easy outs. In a very close game with the Chupacabra Tsunamis, they eeked it out in the bottom of the 6th to pull ahead for good. Both teams were intense and focused, but in the end, the Pirates took the prize.
Some players make the game look too easy. Nate is one of those guys. He doesn't say much, but doesn't need to. He hammers the ball at the plate and plays shut down defense. He has lead his team to a Championship this season. Congratulations to Nate and the Drunken Pirates.
