Therminators

The 6:00pm playoff game had all of the makings of a blowout after the 2nd inning, with team Result putting up an eight spot in their half of the inning and taking a commanding 10-2 over Therminators at Irving Park on Wednesday evening. Yet this was team Therminators, a veteran team on the Underdog softball circuit who has a history of never throwing in the towel, regardless of the score. Some deep soul searching, a meeting of the minds in the outfield & Patrick getting into his groove on the mound was just what they needed to get themselves back into the game.
Leading the charge was Scott Walker, a player whose confidence grew as the game went on. A solo home run in the 5th inning and a clutch defensive grab at first base on a line drive kept the momentum on Therminators side, eventually leading to an impressive 18-13 come from behind victory over a quality opponent and one step closer to a summer league championship.
