Summer Co-ed Sand Volleyball at Delta Park Mondays

The heat proved to be no issue for the two teams who were ready to battle it out last night for the Underdog Delta Park Monday Night Championship Title. The first set started off with Net Worthy making consistent serves and taking a lead that made it difficult for Puff Puff to catch up to. The 2nd set started off similarly with Net Worthy securing a lead early on. After a brief timeout, puff puff pass caught their breath, a sip of water, & and the fiery desire to make it to a 3rd, tiebreaker set. They went from being behind 14 points to an eventual tie - raising the stakes. They broke through and defeated Net Worthy after a string of impressive kills that Net Worthy struggled to return.

As the sun was about to set for the day, both teams made their way to their positions ready to play an intense first-to-15 tie breaker set.

The 3rd set was nothing like the first 2. Amazing rallies lead to points being scored one after the other, with neither team leading by more than 3 points the entire game. After a nail biter series of out of bounds balls and irretrievable kills, Net Worthy eventually scathed through and claimed the championship tittle.

Amazing job to both teams! Watching this exciting match was an awesome way to wrap up the outdoor season at Delta Park. See you all next year!
