Straight Shots Straight Up Dominate in Championship Game

Ranking second place in league play for the spring season for Tubman Wednesday Softcore league wasn't enough for the Straight Shots. The Fab Six came with championship on their minds and that is exactly what they got. But first they needed to battle a tough competitor in The Strays, who weren't about to let a Game 1 loss keep them down. The Strays battled back to win Game 2, forcing Straight Shots to bear down and zero in on securing Game 3 and putting them into the championship matchup vs. #1 seed Sportland. Led by this week's POTW Dan MacNeil, we saw some fantastic teamwork with Crystal working her serving magic, Jeff crushing kills, Holly playing the back court like a pro, Renee diving for anything she could get her hands on, and Carina matching Jeff's great work at net. This combination of all around play allowed Straight Shots to give Sportland all they could handle by convincingly winning all three sets and taking home the coveted USL wristbands. Congrats to all our teams who participated in Wednesday Softcore at Tubman - have a great summer and hope to see you either on the sand or next fall on the court!

How are Standings Calculated?
Standings shown do not automatically adjust for tiebreakers. Tiebreakers may be adjusted manually prior to playoffs with head-to-head followed by runs/points allowed (or sets lost for Volleyball leagues) as the top 2 criteria. Forfeits may be calculated differently as stated below.
º Forfeits
Parenthesized numbers indicate wins or losses by forfeit.
When calculating Ranking Points, forfeits may be weighted differently than normal wins and losses.
