Winter Co-Ed Big Turkey Bowling Wednesdays at Hollywood Bowl 7pm

This is more of a team award than a player award this week. As always, there were a few teams that took 70's theme night to heart by sporting some superfly duds. But based on my high-tech (err, random and arbitrary) formula for decision-making, I've chosen the women of On Strike for the players of the week due to their plaid suits and frilly hanging down things that will soon be the hit of every high school (these styles do come back, right?).



An honorable mention comment also must go to Kea from Spare Me Strike This. She rolled a 212 (ahem, 205) in one game, and will no longer be participating in Big Turkey Bowling, as she's now packing up, leaving Portland, and hitting the pro tour. Kidding about the leaving and pro tour things. Not kidding about the 212. Crazy.

How could it not be a super fun night when you can bowl in your bedsheets?! Wednesday was a togatastic good time, and we especially love the way That's How We Roll well, uh, rolls. Holding down the far lanes, I could hardly tell which team was which. Revenge of the Safety Pins bowled an amazing coupla games high on the Birthday spirit as Ashley and her team cheered them on with gusto. Whooping with encouraging hurrahs, 'That's How we Roll' are true Underdoggies at heart.

I already mentioned it in the championship write-up, but sure, might as well mention here, too, that Josh's 180 helped lead the way in his team's 589-521 victory over the Spare Bears to win a group night out at Mississippi Pizza! Yum.
