On a gorgeous day for kickball, the action on the field was just as awesome.
In the opening game, The Super Disco Truckers outlasted The Fourth Graders in a shootout. Josh Kaplan-Lyman provided the fireworks with an over the fence home run to propel the Truckers into the championship game. In the second game, The New Originals raced to a 6-0 lead, but just as they did in their previous playoff game against the Bananas Slugs, Da Bajinas made an incredible comeback led by the game's MVP - Thomas Putman, who lauched a couple home runs.
In the championship game, the Truckers continued to be hot at the plate, jumping out to a 8-0 lead. However, as is thier custom throughout the playoffs, Da Bajinas once again shrugged off a cold start and rallied to take the lead 9-8. Truckers had one last stand in them, and re-took the lead 12-11 in the top of the 7th, but behind the leadership of Tyler Benson and the clutch kicking Megan Rolerkite, Da Bajinas came from behind one last time to clinch the championship.
