The night started off calm enough for a championship night. Splits or Swallows bowled an EXCELLENT first game, edging out Kundundrum to move onto the championship game. Kunundrum went on to win over Wild Turkeys, after John found his bowling mojo (he probably shouldn't have left it under the table at Lane 45).
It wasn't so clear cut for game 1 between Pinheads and Wild Turkeys. For the first time in Underdog Tuesday Night Bowling history, there was a tie! Tensions ran high and officials contacted. Would it be a total pin fall tiebreaker or a 1-frame bowl off? (Or maybe even a dance off...). In the end a 1-frame bowl off was agreed upon and Pinheads advanced to the next game as winners. Even though Malia from Splits or Swallows tried to Nancy Kerrigan Jackie from Pinheads*, it wasn't enough. Pinheads ended up taking the win...by exactly ONE pin. A very exciting play off evening!
In the middle of one-frame bowl offs, Turkey Lickers were licking up the No Taps! They went on to rack up the most No Tap coupons and taking the No Tap Championship. It was a tight race with Dirty Minds and Harry's Bonches, but Turkey LIckers pulled out an amazing team effort of No Taps, earning them mucho coupons.
Not to be outdone by the competitors, That's How We Roll was rolling deep with spirit not only all season--it was great to hear them sing to the waitstaff at Hollywood--but last night as well. The Queen Pins ruled with their Pin Crowns and Lebowski Labels. Their spirit was well earned and I think they brightened up every Big Turkey Bowler's night just a little bit. Way to go guys!
