The Base Heads
It was Mo's birthday and he was ready to celebrate! His family and friends showed up early and set up a bbq near the field. They had birthday signs and music playing. He was able to have all of his friends and family celebrate his day with him at the ballpark. He then went out and had a blast with his team mates and even hit a HR! After the game he continued to celebrate his birthday for a few hours with his friends. Mo sure knows how to celebrate!!

Emma earns this weeks POTW honors for her squad. Emma played an amazing shortstop for her team Sunday night at Fernhill Park. Her cat like reactions and quickness allowed for some sweet snags in the field. Every time she came to hit, the ball seemed to jump off the bat with incredible force. Emma gave her and the fans a great spectacle this Sunday. Great job Emma!

Shari is the heart and soul of the Undefeated Huevos Grandes. Not only can she slug the ball and make some big league plays, but she was consistently the first one to volunteer for base coach, cheering on her teammates at every pitch.

Cam is this week's POTW honoree for his awesome plays and even better clothing choice. Cam did it all today from an outstanding performance on the hill and at the plate, all the way to his base running technique. The highlight for his team was undoubtedly Cam's "jorts" aka jean shorts that he balled out in. Cam's style in the 90 degree weather was a cool look for a not so cool day. Great choice Cam!

Justin was a hitting machine Sunday. Everytime the ball left his bat, there was no doubt it would be a homerun. Justin cleared the bases on numerous occasions and provided a ton of RBI's to help Huevos Grandes to a big win. Great game, Justin.

Mo pitched two fantastic games on Sunday ending up with a 1-1 record. He always throws many strikes making sure his defense gets a chance to help him. He is a hi energy player who chatters and keeps everyone involved.
Mo also had many big hits for his team. He drove in many runs and was a big part of many offensive rallies.

This group of free-swinging hustlers did all they could to keep an undefeated season going. They way they played all afternoon you would have never guessed it was their first ever trip to the playoffs. It the true spirit of Underdog Sports Huevos Grandes, showed up early, had fun, played hard, and BBQ'ed late. None of this resulted in a Championship but, they are surely winners in our book. Thanks for being a true Underdog team.
