Fall Rookie Co-ed Kickball at King School Park Sundays

In our final game of the day, one player quickly distinguished himself, both with his play on the field (at one point making four straight catches at 2nd base) and with his attire (his own teammates referred to him not by name, but simply as "Tube Socks"). Playing for the Brew Balls, Brandon also connected for a home run and prompted his opponents, the Alcoballics, to jokingly sigh, "I hate that guy," every time the ball was kicked in his general direction. For his all around excellence, Brandon is our first player of the week. Congrats!

It was an epic moment in an epic game: the bottom of the 7th inning, with Drunk Again and Looking to Score trailing by one run and (ahem) looking to score, their captain sent a long fly ball to left, certain to be a home run, only to crumple to his knees when Dena DeVincenzi made a spectacular finger-tip catch, saving the game for I'd Hit That. For rising to the occasion in a pressure-packed situation, Dena was the easy choice for player of the week. Congrats!

It was a slow, muddy day playing on the far field, and Brew Balls were looking for the victory scoring early in the game, but I'd hit that and Marco wasn't going to let that happen. Not only did he clear the bases with foot, he kept'em empty with his arm and speed. He threw out several Brew gals trying to bunt their way on, as he flew from the catchers' position. The super catcher kept potential runners from getting on and potential runs from scoring, it was a great all around game from Marco. Well played by both teams.

The Never Nudes won it all, with a GREAT TEAM effort and contribution by every individual on the team. Plays were made by all, but Tyler made it a point to cover all aspects of the game. Not only was he getting on base, while knocking runs in, he was all over the base paths(3rd base slide) and scoring himself. It didn't stop on offense, he carried his game to the outfield and shortstop catching everything his way, along with throwing multiple kickers out at first. Great games Never Nudes. Congrats!
