Winter Co-ed Volleyball at Blazers Boys & Girls Club Wednesdays

Teams at even sets 1-1. Fighting in the third game, Laura was not about to let anything get past her. The ball got passed across the court almost into the other court so Laura, full speed ahead, gets there with a last ditch effort to steal that point for her team. Reaching out she just popped it all the way back into the game, just barely clearing the net. It caught their opponents by such surprise that the ball just hits the floor before anyone really processes the play that they had just witnessed! It was followed by cheers from both sides because how could you not cheer on such an incredible play?! Awesome first night of the season and congrats on being player of the week Laura!

What sportsmanship by Tyler! The whole game he was encouraging his teammates and cheering them on. Tyler also made a point to highlight when the other team had a great move/save. Tyler goes after each ball. He is always aware of where his teammates are. Tyler enthusiasm is a great team motivator, keep it up!

What a champ! Lindsay showed great sportsmanship tonight. She subbed on the opposing team, assisting them in their win. She then proceed to sub for them again for their double hitter. Lindsay you killed it, being ready for any ball and supporting your subbed teammates. Playing 6 sets in one night is exhausting but it didn’t show on Lindsay’s face at all. Want an awesome player!!!

Walking into the court its do or die in the championship games. These players give it their all every week but this week was more intense. And boy did Tony bring it! His defense tonight was beyond amazing! He was picking up some hard driven serves like it was nothing! Not to mention picking up all the tips and sending them back over even harder than they came at him! His plays had my eyes glued to the court wondering what his next move to get a point was! No matter how tough it was to get the ball back up and into play he made it look so effortless and would place it right up where the setter needed it to be! Way to play such an awesome last game of the season Tony and congrats on being our Player of the Week!
