Summer Softcore Kickball at Irving Park Thursdays

Dubbed "Famous Amos" by his own teammates, Amos Flores stood out in the final game on Field Two Thursday night.

Playing in their first Underdog Kickball game usually there would be a learning curve, but not for Amos. He got two hits in his first at bat and was a machine in right field snagging every fly ball as if he were a young Ichiro in his Mariner's heyday. But truly the cap was Amos scoring on a single to left with the game in balance and emphatically scaling the fence as he crossed home-plate!

Way to bring the fun and positivity to both Amos and his team. Looking forward to a great season!

John is the definition of a leader and what we strive to see in a player with Underdog kickball. John went all out for every single play. He showed immense enthusiasm for the game, shown through the diving plays he made throughout. He helped keep his team strong and in the game in the Underdog way. Way to go John!

Will makes sure to leave all of his effort out on the field. He is a fantastic defensive outfielder, running down every ball on the left side of the field. The opposing catcher told me he reminds him of Jim Edmonds, a gold glove winner for the Arizona Diamondbacks. Keep it up Will!
