Keeping up the Underdog Spirit x2
There wasn't just one player this week that stood out, it was a whole team. Burt Reynolds came prepared this week for their double header. A team ready to play lots of volleyball and have a great time doing it. Always up beat and positive with eachother and their competition. They played two tough games tonight and never lost sight of having fun. Thanks Burt Reynolds for showing us the Underdog Spirit and having a great time!

The nights Best Dressed
In bright colors, Lindsey showed up tonight ready to play some great volleyball. And she looked good doing it.

Player of the week was a no brainer this week, when Lindsey showed up in hot pink socks and sunglasses patterned shorts. She told her team, win or loose she was going to look good! And that she did!

As side from her obvious fashion skills, Lindsey played a great night of volleyball along with her Team Bacon Mustaches. After only knowing each other a few weeks, this indy team has started to play some great volleyball together. Most importantly they are having fun doing it. Lindsey showed us that tonight. Way to go!

Going back to the 80's
Taylors gold shorts earned her player of the week but it was Tony's matching Hoosiers outfit that got them Team of the Week. Along with the rest of the well dressed 80's players in neon, Team Bacon Mustache had theme week this week and that gets them our Fernwood Tuesday Team of the Week Honors.

This team has really connected on and off the court and they have made a great impact on Tuesdays. They play tough and work hard.

Great job Team Bacon Mustaches!

It wasn’t Nicole’s 10 point serving streak to make Shaggin Balls work for game 1’s win, it was her happy dance after getting a break on a net serve that just dribbled over the tape and landed in. As she says, ”you have to celebrate the little things”. And that she did. After a close serve, keeping her rally alive Nicole showed off that Underdog Spirit by giving both teams a shimmy of excitement. In a close match, that didn’t got her teams way, Nicole kept everyone happy and energized in a tough match. Great way to keep the attitude up in the gym. Congrats to our player of the week, Nicole!

Christmas Cheer
Santa came early and brought costumes to E! True Volleyball Story. The whole team came dressed in Christmas Cheer this week. While Santa didn't bring them the W, he did make them the best looking team out there. Thanks for sending us into the holiday break with great spirit E!

Bring all of that back to the playoffs in 2014!

Thunder Bumpers vs. E! True Volleyball Story
What a game tonight by two fun, hard hitting teams. E! True Volleyball Story had to first get past Burt Reynolds in the first round of the Late Fall Fernwood Midcore Playoffs. After getting the win in two games, The Thunder Bumpers were waiting for them. The game got started on a good foot for Thunder with a early 10 pt lead but E! wasn't going to let them get away that fast. They rallied back to make the first game a close 25-21 but Thunder went into game two with the first win. In a back and forth game 2, the hits were flying and every player dove for saves. In the end the Thunder bumpers were just a little bit more rested and were able to take the match in 2 games. But a fun third game proved to be just as exiciting with extra points need to complete it. Great work both teams!
