Late Fall Co-ed Dodgeball at the Friendly House Wednesday

The spotlight shone bright on Jaya Reddy of team Chuckin' Norris's in their 7:10 match against I'd Hit That! on Wednesday evening. New to the game and the vibe of Underdog dodgeball, Jaya found herself on more that one occasion being the last person standing on her side side of the court. Unsure of what exactly to do with five opposing players ready to take her out at any moment, she took it upon herself to dance a bit across the court, hold three balls and one time and scream to the dodgeball gods for help.
Although her team may have lost the match, Jaya's antics on the court and awesome attitude kept us all laughing on court 1 this evening...we look forward to seeing her on many Wednesdays to come at the Friendly House.

The 7:10 match against defending champs Ham featured the "born with" dodgeball skills of Matt Lewis, a man who rarely stands still on the court once the whistle is blown to start a game.
Matt and his teammates were more than up for the challenge vs. Ham, trading cannon arms for cannon arms, dodge for dodge and team strategy for team strategy. Matt's skills were showcased while he lied flat on his back about a foot from the center line, an easy target and sure out for all players from Ham more than willing to get him off the court. The rocket was shot, Matt raised his hands (with one eye closed)...not an out this time said Matt...this was instead an amazing catch sure to go down as one of the great ones in Underdog dodgeball history.

The 6:50 match between Snatcher in the Rye and Wrecking Balls showcased the skills of Andy Van Horn, a complete package dodgeballer whose cat-like quickness and flair for the dramatic have been on display at the Friendly House all season long.
A barrage of rockets were headed his way at one particular point of the match, allowing Andy to teach everyone how proper defense is played, while at the same time giving him the opportunity to make the top ten list with an almost epic between the legs catch. Even though Andy's legs gave out on him and he eventually dropped the ball, his awesome effort and amazing moonwalk like backward shuffle impressed all of those on court 1 on Wednesday night.

Becky Dougan lead her team to victory in 2 different match ups.

Both times with gaming winning catches during tied scores to bring her team ahead for back to back wins!
