It took them a little while to get started, but the Sweatbands poured it on in the fifth inning to advance in the Playoffs Thursday night at Montavilla park. Frozen at 1 run for the the first five the Sweatbands needed to make something happen as they begin to run out of time. Patty Utz broke the freeze kicking off a three run rally in the fifth to get a 4-2 victory.
Luan displayed all around greatness this week. He was lighting quick off the mound to tag runners out on their way to first, he showed masterful clutch kicking with a grand slam, and was the model of consistency when it came to pitching. If you bottled up Luan's game this week, you'd have something sweeter than Yoohoo
