Luckily it didn't come to that for our Summer Softcore Peninsula champs RO-SHAM-BO.
RO-SHAM brought their A-game Thursday night, putting together a solid second inning that busted the game wide open and even allowed the ladies to show their boots instead of their butts... We mean bunts. Their formidable foe, the big, bad Anderchuckers, pulled it together late in the game and made a run at RO-SHAM, but solid decisions and defensive plays sealed the deal.
Amy graciously accepted her reminders on when she could bunt. Piseth kept his grunting under control, but it didn't hurt his catching game one bit. Kirsten kept her streak of best shirt on the team alive. Bobby made a slide that almost took down the house (literally). Katie kept her pitches at the perfect speed. Andrew, after resting his sore kickball muscles, was all over the outfield. And the rest of the crew did their part, too! We can't forget Brooks who was sending his love from Germany with a stein in hand.
Congrats RO-SHAM-BO. We look forward to seeing you defend next season. Or, if you dare, take the leap to midcore. Just remember to slide to the outside of the bag. :)
Andes is the embodiment of fast. On offense Andee may have the best bunt in the league and the wheels to back it up. By Andee's second bunt the other team could be heard saying "don't even try for the out!" On defense Anee is a huge threat in the outfield. Twice the offensive team thought they had a kick in the gap. However, Andee's speed closed the difference to make the catches
