The team started as an Indy team in 2009. The name was created as an honor to my favorite cereal, Honey Nut Cheerios and the future MLB Hall O' Famer, Ichiro Suzuki. We've had a lot of team members come and go over the years, the two that have been there from the very beginning are my sister, Michelle and myself. Andrew and his sister, Adrienne also have a long standing with the Ichiros as well. They have been on this team since 2011. They have have seen this team rise up from the bottom of the Underdog mud and into several first place and championship years.

We also have a player of the game trophy that was started in 2010. It's called the THE LITTLE RED GLOVE. Each week the player of the game wins this trophy, gets a 22 ounce beer to enjoy, signs the glove and date and then gets to take it home with them for the week. At the next game, they become the judge for the winner of the trophy and have to bring a another 22 ounce beer to give away along with the trophy. It's a pretty fun tradition and adds a little competition among teammates.
