The Log Jammers started out their season at the bottom and have been working on kicking up their game all season. A chip on their shoulder they were finally able to brush off last night with a great pair of wins over Beastie Balls and Bowling with Beer Goggles (who took 2nd and 3rd places, in that order). In their first games, Beastie Balls and Log Jammers pulled out wins in their first games with little room to spare. Beastie Balls' Justin capped out in the first with 205 to really push them forward into the finals. On the Log Jammers side, Eric A was able to cap out and bring his great bowling into the finals to cap out a second time! Holy bowling.
In the No-Tap battle, at least three teams seemed to be vying for the lead after the first game. Gutterballs had piled a sizable no-tap collection throughout the night, but with EZ Bakers picking up a couple little-big turkeys near the end of the first game and Brutal Bowlers picking up steam, it was going to be close. Gutterballs continued to pull in no-taps one at a time throughout the second game, but it was Brutal Bowlers with their two consecutive Big Turkeys that put them ahead and crowned the No-Tap Champs!
The Spirit Award came down to the wire with many teams still trying their hardest to get their hands on more coupons. Lindsey of Mac 'n' Cheez was able to convince the Hollywood Staff to give a shout out to Underdog BTB over the intercom, there were team dance offs, lots of cheering, and enough beads to change the New Orleans holiday to Fat Wednesday. But it was Senator Mittens that rallied hardest for the big prize by having every member dressed for theme night success, a break dancing routine, and more hilarity than can be succinctly described. So I won't. Let it be known that Senator Mittens rocked the spirit house!
