Spring SE PDX Co-Ed Kickball Sundays at Col. Summer/Seawallcrest Parks

With the sun blazing, Kickn' Kids came out with more then a victory as they freaked the funk on and off the field. With the back round sound of classic hip hop the team displayed a legendary form of defense. With a side step to the left and then the right they held Drunk and Looking to Score to one run and danced to victory.

Jamil had the type of game that separates good players from great players. His fielding prowess is the result of fast legs and a quick reaction time. He also seems to be a kickball master when kicking hard into the open space and rounding the bases with authority.

As a result of Jamil's great play he has earned the respect of opposing teams and struck fear in the hearts of opposing fielders.

Additionally, Jamil's Mr. Team knocked off the strong TERRORdactyl Feeding Frenzy Team 8-7.

On a day of big legs and large scores not just one player sticks out but a sweet team effort has earned the award for player/team of the week. Team: We Got the Runs looked like a well oiled machine ready for the playoffs. All of their pistons were firing. Great bunt placement, perfectly placed throws, strong fielding at all positions, and camaraderie are hallmarks of this playoff bound team.

The started the game with a slight hiccup (Someone on the Runs forgot the boom box!). Even without their inspirational music The Runs came out and scored 5 quick ones in the 1st. Arctic Blast matched The Runs with 5 scores of their own in the bottom of the 1st but this is as close as the game would get. The Runs put the game out of reach by the 3rd inning and exploded for another 12 runs in the game while holding the opposition to 4 more runs.

Kickn' Kids came out all season with the most zeal and spirit of all teams in the league. Their team singlehandedly kept the costume store near Lloyd Center afloat during these hard financial times. Who knew one place would carry so many different types of pirate apparel.

That being said, the Kickn' Kids made 15 other teams walk the plank in an unanticipated Championship Run. A BIG AARRRGGGHHH to the Winners.
