This week's star honor goes to Ryan Wood. Ryan's stellar defense and clutch hitting propelled his team to a last inning victory. If he wasn't snagging line drives and making diving plays at third, then he was smashing the ball every time he came to the plate. A tremendous effort on this cool summer night earned Ryan POTW.

This week's award goes to Chris Burns for his offensive explosion and great defense at first base. Chris came up big for his team when they needed him the most. At the plate he was 5 for 5 with some clutch RBI's to pull his team in front. Hit after hit, Chris put on a show and everyone on hand witnessed his outstanding performance.

Skull Crushers
True to her name, Alisha Deatherage raged in the outfield this weekend, making two unbelievable catches. Her first catch of the evening stopped an out-of-the-park Homerun while her second catch made Scared Hitless literally scared %^$*less. A wonderful performance by the center fielder, one surely deserving of POTW recognition. Congrats!

Slim Chance
No other player better demonstrated the underdog spirit this weekend than Slim Chance's Mary Beth Carulli. Despite facing insurmountable odds, Mary Beth encouraged her team to fight to the very last inning. She did let the blistering heat nor her team's diminished roster discourage her spirit or her sportsmanship; she proved herself as a catcher and distingued herself as a true underdog.

Kerry, "el oso," exhibited a high level of sportsmanship throughout the season and he stands as one of the best team leaders in the Montavilla league. This past weekend Kerry guided his team to a solid victory over Slim Chance and proved himself a highly capable third baseman and formidable slugger.
