What a fun final night! All four teams that showed up for the semi-finals were ready to leave it all on the floor in order to take home the championship title. The first game of the night between Straight Shots and Sloppy Sets was competitive as both teams executed killer serves, wild blocks, and smart three touch plays. However Straight Shots took the win in two games, proving to be a tough force with their army of eight players and a 'mascot' supporting from the sidelines. The next game between Shady 4.0 and Spike Club was also competitive, but again ended in two sets sending Shady 4.0 through to the final round. The championship round was a nail biter, with Straight Shots taking the first round and Shady 4.0 taking the second, giving us a third game to decide it all. The energy and communication on the floor made for a fun final game. It was back and fourth the whole time, until Straight Shots pulled through at the end winning 26-24. Congratulations to Straight Shots, our league champs! Special shoutout to the other three teams that made it to the semi-finals, Spike Club, Sloppy Sets, and our second place team Shady 4.0. Great job!
