The B Team
Welcome back to Underdog's winter volleyball league! What an exciting way to start off 2013. Some come to work out, some come to meet new people, and some just come to hang out and play some volleyball. Whatever the reason, it was pretty obvious that everyone who came was just trying to have a good time. Ann Gray of The B Team is an example of just that. This girl was having a great time with her team and pulled off one of the most impressive plays I've seen all year! The B Team is down in their second game, and after some intense rallying, Ann got sick of it and decided to put the ball away herself and get the point! What did she do? Used her face to play defense, and while everyone was stunned by her method of defense, the ball went soaring into the air, and down into the opposing teams court. POINT. I think Ann might have been a little stunned herself! The court erupted in cheers at what had just happened, and high fives all around ensued. For that reason, Ann is player of the week this week. So congratulations Ann and keep up the great work!

Brian May

Hit N' Run
There's really no better way to spend Valentines day than with family, friends, and playing some good old fashioned volleyball. Love wasn't exactly in the air this Valentines day at the courts, instead it was more like hard work. Nobody was working harder than Brian May of Hit N' Run. This guy was all over the place Thursday night! I'm talking blocking machine, digging up everything, "set me the ball cuz I'm gonna murder it" kind of determination. Their game against Bad News Beers was so intense, that they didn't even get to finish their third set because of all the back-and-forth rallying. It really was a fun game to watch, and everyone including Brian, not only brought their A game, but managed to still keep it fun in light of all the competitiveness. You guys are all awesome for showing such great sportsmanship! Keep up the great work, and Brian, congratulations on being this weeks Player of the Week.

Bill Hall
Bill Hall
Block and Bleed
Dr. Bill Hall brought his A game Thursday night and was running all over the place! He was diving all over the court, and no matter what the score of the game was, Dr. Hall had a smile on his face and was cracking jokes with his teammates. Sure, maybe Bill isn't really a doctor, but he sure is a good teammate. Keep up the good work Bill and congratulations on being this weeks player of the week!

Raging Ballbarians (Midcore Indy #3)
The weeks player of the week goes to Anne and Sam, who were awesome enough to help out the Raging Ballbarians when they were short a few players Thursday night. Thanks for helping out Sam and Anne! Keep up the great work and congrats on being this weeks player of the week.

Too Setzy
This week's player of the week goes to Collier Ellis of Too Setzy. This game was set up to be a good game from the start, Let's Talk About Sets, Baby with their hitters, and Too Setzy with their awesome defense. These rallies were never ending, and it was a really fun game to watch. Collier, however was all over the place with his defense, and refused to let any ball hit the ground. He also was cheering on his teammates, not matter what the score was and keeping a positive and upbeat attitude. Keep up the great work Collier, and congrats on being this weeks player of the week.

Stump Jumpers
This weeks player of the week goes to Matt Almond of the Stump Jumpers. Their game against Hit and Run was a nail biter for sure, and with everything on the line, everyone knew they had to step their game up. Matt wasn't one to stress however, and kept his and his teammates heads cool with his positive attitude, and amazing hustle. He was cheering for his teammates regardless of what the score was, and in the end, he helped his team get the win, and he couldn't have been more happy. So keep up the great work Matt, and congratulations on being this week's player of the week.
