The lights were shining bright on the 4:00pm game between Alcoholics Anonymous and Pull it out in the end on Sunday, two quality teams looking for a signature win early in the season.
Both teams looked sharp from the start, displaying sharp route running and bend-but-not-break type of defense key to staying on top of the standings. With AA holding onto slim 22-16 lead starting the second half, Pull it out in the end drove the length of the field quickly to tie the game and setting the stage for a fantastic finish. Tommy Moore, quarterback and spiritual leader of AA, showed some serious poise and agility during the last few minutes of the game, sure to keep his name in consideration for end of season MVP honors. Facing 4th down and two long cones to get a first down and seal a victory, Tommy showed an amazing burst of speed, surprising both the defense and his teammates alike. The freight train took off like a bullet, securing a hard fought 36-34 victory in the game of the day at Lewis & Clark.
