Speed and agility against wisdom and discipline was the name of the game between Alcoholics Anonymous and Kushtan. Team Kushtan had the speed while Alcoholics Anonymous has the wisdom and has been there before.
The 1st half was a good defensive battle by both teams, making great stops. Both teams displayed there persistence of seeking a championship by converting key plays for 1st downs.
At halftime, team AA made some adjustments and came out firing on all cylinders. QB Tyler showed his precise accuracy picking the defense apart by throwing for two quick touchdowns. This resulted in team Kushtan going into a funk that they never got out of.
By the time the whistle sounded, the score was 48-20. Alcoholics Anonymous takes home another championship. Congratulations!
Mitch Karnes is much like Benadryl...just give it time, it will always work. Mitch isn't the fastest player on the team, but he is always there when his team needs him.
In the championship game, he made some great stops and great plays. He pulled 5 flag pulls, 3 receptions, 1 touchdown (it got called back because of an inadvertent whistle) and he was there cheering his team on from the side line whenever he wasn't playing.
He gives that look to his fellow teammates when you know you made a mistake much like Jordan did with his run with the Bulls. This look inspires his teammates to play harder and better. Much like Benadryl, just give Mitch some time and he will come through. Congratulations to this week's player of the week, Mitch Karnes.
