Jonathon Blasher is a badass kickball player. He pitches, he fields, he kicks, he scores... all with skill and grace. It's no surprise then that the Humpbacks insisted he receive player of the game honors. However, it wasn't his awesome skills that earned him the honor. With 2 outs in the bottom of the 7th a long fly ball came to Blasher in center field. Perhaps looking ahead to the post game celebration at Mississippi Pizza, a momentary lapse in his awesomeness allowed the ball to pass through his arms and directly to the "bathing suit area" leaving Blasher doubled over in pain and his teammates doubled over in laughter. He made a full recovery, as did his team, who cruised to victory. For courage in the face of danger, Jonathon Blasher is our player of the week.
